Is there a difference between a lie and a misleading truth?

In my opinion, there is a difference between a lie and a misleading truth. For me, there is a very simple answer for this question, that answer partly comes from the famous philosopher Immanuel Kant. Whiles someone could lie to you straight away which tends to be easier, if they tell you a misleading truth they are recognising that you deserve more than a lie, but they still do not want to tell you the truth for x reasons.

I would also like to comment that if lying was made a universal law, the world will be a chaotic one in which noone will be certainly sure if a promise will be kept or if an argument is true. However, if telling misleading truths was made a universal law, society will just learn to pick out other people's statements, but the world would not be ruined.

Those are my beleifs, what are yours?

En mi opinión, hay una diferencia entre una mentira y una verdad engañosa, o verdad a medias. Para mí, hay una respuesta muy simple para esta pregunta, que en parte proviene del famoso filósofo Immanuel Kant. Mientras alguien podría mentirte de inmediato, lo que tiende a ser más fácil, si te dicen una verdad engañosa, están reconociendo que mereces más que una mentira, pero aún así no quieren decirte la verdad por x razones.

También me gustaría comentar que si mentir se convirtiera en una ley universal, el mundo será caótico y nadie estará seguro de si se cumplirá una promesa o si un argumento es verdadero. Sin embargo, si decir verdades engañosas se convirtiera en una ley universal, la sociedad aprendería a fijarse mejor en las palabras de las declaraciones de otras personas, pero el mundo no se arruinaría.
